The Park Hyatt Washington, D.C. deploys WiSuite™ Hotel Energy Management to drive sustainability, savings and guest comfort
WASHINGTON, D.C., JAN 1, 2019, – The Park Hyatt Washington is accelerating its efforts to realize Hyatt’s 2020 Environmental Sustainability Vision. In selecting WiSuite, this 220-room luxury hotel is demonstrating how sustainability efforts positively impact guest satisfaction.
The WiSuite installation at the Park Hyatt includes 230 touch screen WiStat-SS smart thermostats in every guest room and suite. Each thermostat is wirelessly connected to the hotel’s property management system (PMS) via the WiSuite Intelligent Network (WIN). When a guest checks in, the PMS signals WiSuite to bring their room out of an energy savings mode and into a predefined comfort range.
WiSuite is providing the Park Hyatt’s engineering team with centralized HVAC control and increased responsiveness. Real-time performance dashboards track runtimes down to the minute and identify preventative maintenance opportunities – extending the useful life of the property’s HVAC assets.
WiSuite captures demand warning signals when an HVAC unit is forecasted not to meet a guest’s temperature requests. These preemptive signals enable the Park Hyatt’s engineering team to resolve most issues before guests ever detect them. These features – along with built-in engineering controls on each thermostat – dramatically reduce the Park Hyatt’s total cost of ownership.
“Helping our clients achieve their hotel energy management targets profitably without compromising guest comfort is the reason we’re in business,” said WiSuite CEO John Gallant, “To have a top-tier property like the Park Hyatt, in our Nation’s Capital, select WiSuite it validates our mission.”
